My Story

Man in glasses sitting against a tree, smiling warmly.

How Did We Get Here?

Over the past eight years, I’ve had the honour of representing Ward One in Strathcona County. Much has changed in that time, in our community, our economy, and the world around us, but my commitment to this place and its people has never wavered.

We’ve been through a lot together. From the challenges of the pandemic and economic uncertainty to the everyday issues that affect our quality of life, I’ve worked to be a steady, responsive voice at the Council table, one focused on practical solutions, transparency, and teamwork.

I continue to believe in the promise of Strathcona County, that we can be Canada’s Most Livable Community, but achieving that takes ongoing collaboration, sound decision-making, and a willingness to listen and adapt.

Our community is evolving. Our economy is diversifying, our population is growing and changing, and our expectations around resiliency, affordability, and local leadership are higher than ever. These shifts bring both challenges and opportunities, and I’m committed to working with residents, businesses, and community partners to ensure we continue to thrive.

Ward One remains a vibrant, diverse, and deeply engaged part of Strathcona County. We have great neighbourhoods, strong local businesses, and a community spirit that truly stands out. Together, we’ll continue building a County that is accessible, efficient, and resilient, one that supports families, empowers entrepreneurs, and creates opportunity for everyone.

Strathcona County is built on resilience, innovation, and a willingness to lead. I’m proud to call this place home, and even prouder to serve the people who make it what it is.

Over the coming months and years, I look forward to continuing the conversation, hearing your ideas, addressing your concerns, and working together to shape a future we can all be proud of.
